Ya my betta has done fine with them, I haven't had any troubles. I think my female is just dying of old age, I've had her awhile. Thanks for the help guys, I hated keeping my male in that breeding trap, its nice to know that I can let him go soon!

Well it all depends...you could have quite a nice setup in a little 5 gallon, but if you want to give him more space you can give him a 10 gallon. Money varies on where you go and whether you but a kit or seperate. Glad to here you will be joining the betta community! :thumbs:
