Please, I need some advice. Should I medicate the sick fish?    I could put him in the tank with my betta who I am currently treating for ich. Would that work?   I'm desperate for some advice, I don't want to lose any more cories :(

The carbon was actually from my old tank, and had been there for ages. I recently moved my betta into a smaller tank and used the media from the old tank to cycle it.   Yeah I am worried about the bacteria being killed.   But do I have a choice? I should treat him, right?

Well the little feller finally died today.   And another looks like he's soon to follow.   The betta has been out of the tank for over a week now. The other cory seem fine.   There are red cherry shrimp in there with them too.   Wondering what the problem is. Sigh.

When I think about I reckon he'll be okay.   The current tank measurements are:   22cm deep x 36cm wide x 23cm tall.   I can push the new tank to    25cm deep x 30cm wide x 50cm tall   so really the surface space is quite similar

Thanks lock man :) I didn't see this till I bought the shrimp but I have 7 now. These shrimp are cute. One of them was shuffling around in the sand then it felt it's way onto a Cory. Then it realized the Cory was a living thing and backed up the way it came real fast xD

I actually do have a 5 gallon tank spare at home. I really would consider doing that. But do you think he will be okay going from a 12 gallon to a 5 gallon tank? It makes me feel a bit bad downgrading him like that.

My betta never bothers the cory. He doesn't even notice them.   I don't think he's the problem
