    240ltr and 150ltr builds

Gave it another trim as the Water Wysteria was starting to take over. Also going to get some Seachem florish and see if it helps the java ferns and anubius as i think they may be a bit low on Iron or something. Also dropped the lighting back another 30 mins.

    Not enough iron?

As per the title. Holes in the leafs of Java ferns and some anubius leafs turning yellow. It's it a lack of iron? They are in a 240ltr tank that gets 20ml of api leaf zone each week after a water change. Stocking is about 40 guppies. 1 3 spot gurami and 11 Cory's. Should I up the leaf zone to...

Scrapping tank. Starting over. Need best advice

Thats Iti's tank, he doesn't have any aftermarket substrate or dirt, just pea gravel. Using those substrates can cause spikes. He doesn't use lights but has put his tank beside a window to get natural sun (this can cause its own problems.) He doesn't use CO2 Hes got a under gravel filter...

Ok I'll give it a go. This is my new Juwel 240 ltr tank that has replaced my old 200ltr tall one (this one gives me an extra 40cm in width which is great.) I have painted the back black and removed the internal filter. It has been setup for about 2 months now i guess with most things being...

    Eheim Aquacompact filter

Has anyone tried one of these before? I've just bought a cheap 60ltr tank that im going to try as a paludarium style (probably 30 or 40 ltrs in it) and some cloud minows. Just thinking about a quiet filter and came across this, for the price seems dirt cheap and they get good reviews on noise...

Was starting to get a bit of hair algae so have dropped the light time back by an hour to see if that helps. The new crypts have also arrived and been planted. Will get a new photo up soon.

So I was doing a water change and found this little guy. Total surprise as my venuzalian Cory's are only about 4 months old I think. Anyway it's awesome so will be holding back on some of the vacuuming next time to make sure he's ok and see if there are more.

Spray bar - dead spot or low flow area under it?

Hi All, In the corner under my spray bar the flow is weaker and the detritus seems to like building up there, i have a Rio 240 tank so 1.2m wide with a Aqua One Aquis Series 2 1250 filter on it. (1400ltr per hour) It only becomes noticable about half way through the week as it slowly builds up...

Its ready for a trim i think, have just bought a light for my daughters tank (she wants to be like daddy so we got a cheap 60ltr) so will wait for that to arrive before trimming and adding some plants for her. I think i need to do something with the front left corner, everything seems to end up...

Stones have been removed, Got a great deal on a heap of crypts which will be arriving next year which will cover some of that open sand. Plant growth is still great. Thinking of taking some of the amubila out of the left corner to give the Aponogeton undulatus some more space

I've put some electrical tap over the parts of the led directly above it, i might put a bit more to try and help reduce the light for it.

Got a Amazon sword for a great price and the guy threw in some more red stems so hopefully they take. The Queen of the tank Gourami has been coming out more and the 11 Venuzalian Corys are full of energy and a great addition. The top of some ambulia is starting to go orange which is a good sign...
