Thanks for the answers right here goes it is the water that is green the glass is clean,as regards the tank it is 30"x15" it is located in the living room not in direct sunlight but the sun does come through the window.I have recently bought a new filter as the old under gravel one had seen...

can anyone tell me why my tank keeps going green?all the fish seem ok and we have also had some new arivals :) which seem to be doing fine it's just that the tank looks so dirty.Any help would be great. Regards Martyn.
