    Halfmoon Betta

    a trip to a local pet shop to exchange fish, I come back with some nice looking bettas a pair of white half moon and a nice looking rosetail Betta I hope to get them spawning soon.

    feeding them is not too difficult will eat the usual flake foods they prefer live foods such as flies/fruit flies, mosquito larvae. bloodworms, daphnia, they are also capable of feeding from the bottom of the tank due to them having such a small beak

    yes I have bought two pairs they sell them under the name of red dragon guppy. here in the UK lfs it's not very often to get matching females, the females will probably drop fry in 2 to 3 weeks time I'm going to let themf lock breed then pick best male to cross back

    it's not a very good picture , males are more colourful and anal fin set back more towards the tail dorsal fin slightly larger, females less colourful and more round and plump in body

    yes they will eat brine shrimp that's the first food to start them off with then daphnia and on to Grendel worms. when I mentioned a problem feeding them I was more like thinking of the large numbers to feed, now the cold weather is here the population of daphnia, mosquito larvae, and bloodworm...
