    Got a group of Limia perugiae for free today...

    as emeraldKing mentioned L. perugiae looks better when the light hits the body so good aquarium lighting or daylight /sun will show it's true colours a very peaceful fish with a stunning bluish sheen colour this species is well worth the time and effort keeping them

    Almost every tropical fish shop sells male koi guppies after looking for some time to find a matching females I finally found a shop that had a tank full of good looking females, I bought a group of 6 within a few days one of them had 34 Fry hopefully they'll turn out nice looking as the adults

    it would be better to start next year the fish need a longer time to adapt to cooler temperatures 3c is too cold, in the winter time it will be best to insulate the tank with polystyrene including the top I also think it would be better if can you use a heater,

    The two main reasons for lighting is growing plants and for viewing the fish if you are keeping your fish in a shed with a window and it's letting in enough daylight the less hours you would need to keep the lights on , I have my lights on between 5 to 10 hours a day

    I always pick the eggs off the killifish mops they seem to be the same as any other, the eggs are quite tough as long as you don't squeeze them there shouldn't be any damage done to them

    it's unusual not to find any eggs if I were in a similar situation I would separate the males from females for a week or two reshuffle males so they're not put back with the original female ,by changing male and females can make a big difference to them spawning

    the more mops you have the better success you would have . most of the eggs will fall to the bottom and the fish and will scatter the eggs over the bottom of the tank

    there are many ways of collecting the eggs and that method is quite good, there is no chance of the eggs dying for the amount of time they were out of water

    I Feed mainly live foods up to 3 times a day that works well for me ,care must be taken not to overfeed or pollute the water
