You may need to repost that video, because it says it's private.

Can fish survive a 1-month period?

Ok sofro friend, I don't mean to be rude, but to answer your question simply, just no. That tank is overstocked. You add in no water changes for a month? The odds of survival in that kind of environment are very slim.

    My new sorority

You two are so lucky! Percy doesn't show a sign of interest in his invertebrate tank mate.

    My Betta Percy

Oh cool. Any ideas on how to vacuum with a plant carpet?

    My Betta Percy

Thanks for the information. The current isn't very strong; it's only moderate. The filter is a corner sponge (there's one on each side), but I can't remember which brand. Percy can hover on the spot, so I assume it's good? Guess that rules out another possibility of his swimming behaviour. Do...

    My Betta Percy

I did my weekly water change today. My water should have settled by tomorrow, when I should be conducting the water changes. I gave him live mosquito larvae for dinner, and while observing him, came to the conclusion that his pectoral fin behaviour might be because of the water flow? What do you...

10L Tank - I Know it's small. Fish advice please

Like everyone else has said, that tank is too small. Plants, snails or shrimp would be suitable, though I'm not 100% sure about the latter.

    My Betta Percy

Hi everyone, this thread is going to be about my betta Percy. About five months ago, I was looking for a new betta, when I came across Percy. At the time, I was shopping for cat food, but seeing as I had a tank cycled and ready to go, I got him. Currently, he's in a 70l divided tank with another...

    Driftwood boiling and tannins

So wait, what exactly is this black water thing, and how are you supposed to do it? I keep hearing about it, and am interested.

Demeter's a very nice fish. I bet Demeter32 will love her.

Can fish survive a 1-month period?

What is your tank size and what are its inhabitants? If you are going away, you could always ask a friend or family member to come past and feed them, and possibly do the odd water change (though you may need to pay them for the trouble).

Oh (lol). Didn't realise. Make sure to keep us posted about how the girls are going. Do you plan on adding more to the sorority?

    My new sorority

Why did you say that? She is very clearly not ugly.

    My new sorority

Nice. Where are the knew ones from? Also, I noticed that most are named after Greek deities, which is interesting. Why did you choose them, out of curiousity? Also, I know you did say this earlier, but I couldn't find the size of your tank, so how large is it?

Not sure how to fix my water issues

If your tap water pH was that low, you wouldn't want to drink it.

Hi have 75 g tank was wondering if my planned community is ok

You will need to research each of the species you listed at the start, and decide for yourself. The fish will need similar water parameters/temperatures to be put together, and as hobby5 said, you will want to spread out the levels where the fish are (so not have, say, all top dwellers).

@Byron I saw this in one of my books.

severe pop eye in male betta

There are two main things that concern me: You shouldn't do 100% water changes, as this will do more harm than good. Your will just be messing with your nitrogen cycle. 50% would be fine. Second, when using epsom salts, (Byron mentioned something like this in another thread) make sure they're...

    Bumblebee Gobies

So, this is my first guide thingo, so this will probably be terrible. Please note, most of my info has comes from sources about Brachygobius xanthozona, with only a small amount from Brachygobius doriae, as well as from my own experience. Classification: Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Chordata...

You did cycle the new tank first right?
  31. GobyMaster11276

    My new sorority

The floating plants filter the top light very well, which adds to the natural look of your tank. Looks great. Wish my tanks were as good.

    How to alter pH

Don't get me wrong, I'm not new to the hobby or to altering pH. In the past, I used pH up and down to do this, but now I have been told that this is the wrong way to do it. So how am I supposed to do this now? Thanks.

    TDS

Hi, just realised I has a TDS tester that I had never used, and was wondering if someone could give me a simple explanation about it. What should it be at for bettas? Mine is at 134ppm. Thanks.
