They won't last that long. The fry will be eaten by other inhabitants. Sorry.

    Need some advice urgently!!

Okay. First thing. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE LFS PEOPLE. More likely than not, they will play you for an extra dollar. Your water parameters won't be extreme for now, but just wait. Your tank is still cycling for the first time (explained by fluttermoth), so do the suggested 50% daily. It's your best...

Help PLEASE: Betta "Finny" has bulge on tummy..

When you said that you had a vet come in, you mean the one mentioned earlier (like, in the past)? Also, could you please link the posts to your other forum posts? Sharing information gathered from vets, LFS's and other places you might not have mentioned will be beneficial. Also, photos of Finny...

I made a thread a while ago about posting threads.

    Community tank

The bacteria also could've died if it wasn't in the right conditions. E.g. if you have filter media from a tropical tank, and put it in a bucket of tank water, which cooled over time. Please just do a fishless cycle, to avoid all risks.

    Betta tankmate help

I would personally not put anything with a betta (in terms of fish). They thrive when alone.

    Water Issues

Ok, cool. One more thing. Make sure to siphon your gravel regularly as well (assuming you decided not to use the filter).
  11. GobyMaster11276

    Water Issues

Make sure to remove the sediment from the new gravel before adding it. Replacing it shouldn't restart the cycle. The tank might look better with driftwood instead of the submarine, but that's just my opinion. If you like it, keep it in by all means. I have got a few questions as well. What type...

    Should I get an axolotl

It ate the neon tetras? Wow. A few years ago I had them together and it worked (none ate the other and they weren't stressed).
  13. GobyMaster11276

    Should I get an axolotl

Most bettas prefer to be alone, but if you really want a tank mate, consider neon tetras.

Sick Betta Fish - Help Required

I get that your intentions were good, but 10l each is a bit below the recommended 5 gallons. As well as NickAu's questions, what do you feed them and how much of it? Do the fish have hiding spots? Plants? A picture would be great.

heater and other suggestions for beta

Essjay and Ch4rlie covered almost everything. What chemicals does he have (e.g conditioner)? Definitely needs a heater and filter, though that has been covered. Make sure he gets a test kit, and maintains the tank weekly (via water changes, tests, so forth). One gallon is tiny, and to be honest...

    my girl

What type of filter have you got? Could you remove the whole divider, or is that not possible? There seems to be a few jagged bits in the hole that could lead to tearing of fins, and you could do more without it in the way. What're your parameters?

Help PLEASE: Betta "Finny" has bulge on tummy..

Though Omega made a good suggestion, it doesn't work well with bettas. The majority will watch it sink to the bottom without touching it. A different food with the same effect would be better.

    My Betta Percy

My tap water tests zero. I have a thread about all of this (Nitrates Issues). Oh, you mean Apollo? That's my sister's betta. The light was off in the other photo due to issues. Here's a photo of him. And one of Percy.

    My Betta Percy

UPDATE Been meaning to do this for a while, but didn't get around to it. Percy's pectoral fin anomaly is over. Yay! As I mentioned in some of my other threads, my water parameters should be around: Ammonia: 0ppm Nitrites: 0ppm Nitrates: 0-5ppm pH: 7.6-7.7 I say should because my nitrates test...

    Lethargic betta?

I would put the plants in. It may cause temporary stress, but in the long run I believe he will come out more and not be as timid (so he will act like he used to).

    New Betta Help!

Hi. Just want to know a few things. What is your water temperature? What is your tank size? Has the tank cycled? How long was it cycling? What are the water parameters? What are the tank dimensions? What type of filter do you have? A photo of him and his tank would be great. Sorry for asking so...

This year I had more than 20 fishes dead

How often are you adding the fertiliser? Algae will also grow, so you have to clean the glass weekly. 20% every two weeks is way too little. Try 40% weekly.

So I got her name right? Yes! Sorry, don't mind me.
  33. GobyMaster11276

This year I had more than 20 fishes dead

So, there are a few mistakes there. First of all, never do a 100% water change. Your water parameters will only fluctuate, causing more of a threat to your fish. How long was the tank cycling? I may be no expert on those species, but I get the feeling that your stocking is a bit off. For...

    Need advice on Bettas eyes.

Yep. Works now. Not sure what that is though, I just see some white. What kind of appearance (texture) is it? Is she acting normal? Most of all, do any of the others have that?
