Can I add 5 Panda Garra and a single rainbow shark into my 52 Gallon Planted Community Tank?

I may be wrong here, but don't you need more than just 1 angelfish?

Tetra Starter Line 105 litre tank - Opinions?

Errm it kinda sounds like you should get a glass box and buy the accessories at this rate lol. What I understand has been said: Tank is fine, normal. Lighting is meh. Was replaced by Aquabarb. Heater is meh. Non adjustable so probably replace. Filter is meh, needs some fixing. If you are...

An Odd Case of Fin Rot

So what would I do about the gravel thing? https://www.fishforums.net/threads/mild-fin-rot.466705/ I will get pictures tomorrow as the light is off right now. :/ (You can actually see one of the notches in my profile pic.) I did more frequent water changes, yes. Not really daily, but...

An Odd Case of Fin Rot

So I started a thread on this a while ago but I thought it would be better to start a new one. I have a 29g community tank with 5 veiltail cherry barbs (1M 4F), 4 guppies (1M 3F), 1 Dwarf Gourami (M?), 2 Amano Shrimp (?), 1 Nerite Snail (don't really care), and 1 betta splendens (M). The...

    Unwell platy- help

Yes a photo is a good idea. We need a little more information to be able to help you here. What size tank and what tank mates? How long has the tank been set up, and how long have you had this platy? Could you provide a link to this disease away so we can see what's in it? Certain meds only...

Enough load to start a cycle?

Still not really enough for zebras. Maybe a few inches longer than UK ones (I'm just spitballing here) but not THAT much longer.

So New Light = Algae Problems. Who Would Have Guessed? Also Plant Questions.

I agree. Also do plecos tend to rip up carpets? Cause a pleco does interest me (not for the algae eating). Although they are very messy, so I would probably want to hot rod my filter a little to make sure the bio load is not too much. Not that my tank is even completely stocked though, so it...

So New Light = Algae Problems. Who Would Have Guessed? Also Plant Questions.

@AilyNC No the intensity is not adjustable. @mbsqw1d No I am not doing CO2. The hairgrass WAS pearling but not nearly as much as the sword, which had a constant stream of bubbles which at one point were so frequent it was a solid line with no way to tell apart individual bubbles. Like I said...

So New Light = Algae Problems. Who Would Have Guessed? Also Plant Questions.

Yes the current nutrient source is fish poo. The gravel is not gravel vaced due to the hairgrass so it should be kinda nutrientish but not really. The light timing is probably bad I didn't think about that. It is ahh variable to say the least. I turn it on when I get up, usually like 10:30am...

So New Light = Algae Problems. Who Would Have Guessed? Also Plant Questions.

So I got a new Nicrew LED light to replace my old crappy non plant rated fluorescent. Needless to say my plants did not grow with the old light and they are much happier with the new one. However, I have noticed that the algae growth rate is a tad bit faster than it was before. And by a tad I...

    Freeze Dried Brine Shrimp

I watched a video where the person put a bucket in the sun and just let algae grow in it and they ate that. That would be the way to go I think.

    Freeze Dried Brine Shrimp

At what size would I want to feed them to my fish? Would the betta and DG be able to eat enough babies to fill up, or should I grow them out a little? Also it actually looks pretty easy to farm them as well. I did some more research and it looks like you could raise them pretty easily and then...

Old Tank Syndrome, Nothing Helps, NO3 Test Makes No Sense!

A little off topic but a quick question.... Can you leave the blue night light on all night and have the fish sleep just fine? Mine has a blue night light that I want to try leaving on but I have never really known if the fish would hate me for it. Also I never knew my gravel glowed in blue...

    Freeze Dried Brine Shrimp

Thank you so much for your advice! I fed them the FD brine shrimp again today, this time rehydrating it in a cup with tank water, and they seemed to like it pretty well! I will probably get frozen next time but I think the FD will work just fine for the rest of the container. I watched a few...

    Freeze Dried Brine Shrimp

So what are reasons why you would use flakes over pellets and vice versa? My flakes are running out and I am wondering about trying pellets, but should I stick with flakes? I have a betta, dwarf gourami (yes in the same tank, deal with it), cherry barbs, and guppies. I have heard that flakes...

I just got a nicrew as well so we will both see how it goes. ;) I got the skyLED and I assume you got the ClassicLED. So far I am VERY impressed with it as it seems you are as well. MUCH MUCH MUCH better and brighter and whiter then my old crappy flourescent and my plants were pearling quite...

    Freeze Dried Brine Shrimp

I got some Omega One Freeze dried brine shrimp today and was just wondering what your experiences have been with it. Do your fish like it, is it a good food and how is best to feed it? It comes in big chunks and I have small fish so I just kind of broke little bits off of a chunk and dropped it...
