    Male Endlers fit the bill.

    Stocking ideas for this aquarium?

60L is way too small in my opinion. I’ve had them for years on and off but I’m phasing them out now as I’ve only got a 120L tank.

Recent Belgian squads will go down in history alongside the Dutch of the 70s and Hungarians of the 50s as the games greatest underachievers. I don’t know if their internal problems reflect the countries language split but there’s something not been right within the camp for a long time. A mate...

    Social Media

I have five Twitter accts, each for seperate interests. It wouldn’t be fair on followers of interest A having my musings on interest D clogging up their timeline. It’s just a shame that every other user hasn’t done the same. Ive dipped my toe into Facebook, Instagram etc and I’m a long term...

You’re cohosting the WC in four years time with the US and Mexico. Mrs Lurch and myself are considering coming over for it even if England don’t make it. We may also be at the woman’s WC in Australia and NZ next year. Both your boys and the US have some very good young players who will...

Does changing the arrangement of plants/rocks/etc. in a tank cause stress on your fish?

I’ll be shipping 50% out soon. They’re from Mrs Lurchs Endler population boom tank and have only been kept until they colour up enough for a lfs to take them.

Black or white background for aquarium

Black. For U.K. posters “The Range” shops do good cheap picture mount black cardboard that stick well using gaffa tape.

Does changing the arrangement of plants/rocks/etc. in a tank cause stress on your fish?

I personally wouldn’t do it if i had territorial or fighty fish. These days Endlers are at the aggressive end of the scale of fish I’m prepared to keep. No trouble wanted in the tank.

Does changing the arrangement of plants/rocks/etc. in a tank cause stress on your fish?

Me too. I rearrange driftwood, caves, plastic rocks, moss balls etc every time. Plus I’ve always a lot of anacharis etc which semi floats while tangled with the above changing the layout without trying too. It’s like they’re going on their holidays every weekend.

Happy thanksgiving to those who celebrate!

No. You beat England in the 50s. A great achievement by your boys even though I believe only one of your boys was born in the US. You should’ve beaten England again last night. Theres been three WC Finals games between England and USA. One win for your lot and two draws. A shocking return by us...

Happy thanksgiving. It’s not a thing over here but a workmate brought in a bunch of mini sponge cakes in the shape of turkeys today made by his Mrs. Her sister is married to a tea destroyer and her contributions every year are US themed cakes. Lovely they were

    Different Colour Fish

I wouldn’t be so sure about Co Durham water being soft. I was dragged up just a few hundred yards from the Co Durham border and ours was very hard. A regular poster in iirc the Peterlee area mentioned they live in an insanely hard water area surrounded by soft water. Also mentioned their local...

    Breeding WCMM ?

I’ll be asking for outdoor WCMM advice around Easter time. Don’t hold your breath though.

    Cold water breeding ideas?

A feller in Enfield was selling em on EBay a while back but sold up and went back to Poland iirc. He sold hundreds in one big last auction. Lot of sellers got them up for sale now.

Just had a prowler outside my window... terrified me.

The lack of knowledge of the wider world being shown on this thread by some US based posters is amazing. Especially on a U.K. based website.

Just had a prowler outside my window... terrified me.

Sorry to read this stuff. Make sure you keep your windows shut please. Motion detector lights aren’t madly expensive. We had some battery ones from eBay at our last house. I also bought MrsLurch a rechargeable motion detector wildlife camera from eBay for under £100. The problem with both is...

Post your first tank vs. newest!

First would’ve been in 1967 or 68 according to my mam. She remembers it on a wall unit in the living room which was the first furniture she bought specifically for the house I was dragged up in.

    Scavengers and garbage collecting Corys

Well yesterdays acquired Pygmy Corys X10 will soon be tucking into their first meal under this roof of frozen daphnia. Once the cube melts a bit that is as the Mozzie n WCMM/Endler tanks will be having the same. I’m having home made spinach-broccoli-goats cheese soup followed by pasta n home...

Question about a lonely Endler's livebearer

Nnnnooooooooooo2. LFS won’t take em as fry so they’re being put into my 120L tank until they colour up or are recognised by sex. All this is preventing me pressing ahead wih converting my 120L to a mini fish only tank. I’ll keep some but as of now I’ve 3 WCMM left from a bunch of 6 and 20 male...

Question about a lonely Endler's livebearer

Plenty of Endlers here for you. MrsLurchs female Endler tank has just revealed another 20+ fry. The girls haven’t been near a boy for about a year unless their sneaking across her 8’ office desk during the night. When will it end? There’s been about 200 so far. @emeraldking please please tell...
