    Old Fish Keeper Intro...

In the 50s! I had fish from early 70s through to mid 80s then off and on until the late 90s and I’d never heard of long fins until last year.

@itiwhetu reckoned he missed some or they hatched after he collected them in for their winter and they survived overnight temps in the minuses and we’re only Found alive and well when he was preparing the pond again the following year. Fish are a lot tougher than I think we give em credit for.

I wish my tested water was as different from my websites as yours is. It opens up a lot more fish choices when stocking. Best of luck.

I’ve a toe in your camp being from Washington. The real Washington. Old George’s family being the local lords of the manor probably have their dna in all of us from around those parts.

Yeah that’s the way to do it apparently. Breeders snap up the normals with the most colourful fins. I had WCMMs in my last tank in the late 90s but never LFs until last year. I love them and they don’t require the tank to be heated up! Less expense!

    Help with mutiple tank questions...

That’s a huge difference between your water providers website hardness figures and your test results! My general hardness is 340ppm which equates to 19 degrees of hardness. Providers website says it 18 degrees which is close enough. Bizarre

Im in the U.K. but have never had a problem with posted fish. Granted we’re not shipping the distances you tea wasters are but a pro outfit can’t afford many mistakes. Something beyond their control may occasionally occur but if they’ve a good rep for after service I don’t think the buyer can...

    Old Fish Keeper Intro...

Welcome. Ive six adopted LFWCMM from a family who were moving home and didn’t want to take them. My tanks about maxed out at the moment so I may be moving some of the other adoptees on that that I’m both not as keen on and look a bit big for the tank. Replacing them with more female white clouds...

Thats the style. The experts on here are seriously expert-tastic. It’s reckoned by some of us less knowledgeable posters that the expert posters are actually fish in disguise.

    My new “old” hobby

Welcome. You’ll find that there’s some very knowledgeable posters on here, some not so knowledgeable. Unfortunately I myself don’t know enough to even qualify for the last category. Hope you have as much fun back in the world of fins as you’re obviously hoping too.

No chance. You guys are nowhere near having the technology. 360 litre tank and cichlids and large plec free to a good home.

My cars off the road so I’ll probably need to hire something anyway. May as well be a van. I drive up from the south to the NE every six weeks or so to see my mother. Driffields not that far off my route. Problem is I wouldn’t be wanting the fish as Driffields water hardness is 6dh and mine is...

Hi. It may be too far away for me as I’d need to hire a van. Though I’d love one with those exact dimensions as it’d fit on our existing furniture. I was actually planning on asking about getting one made. What type of cover does it have? What make is it? Thanks

    Endler tank

Do you mean 30L? If not you need a bigger tank for Endlers. I’ve some in my 120L and they’re charging about all over that are excess from MrsLurchs two 30L tanks. She’s got six in each and after seeing their behaviour in mine is thinking they need bigger.

CIANO tanks are for sale in pets at home here in the U.K. you could pop along to your local PAH and see if they’ve any there.

No. I found it on eBay over here on U.K. We on here watched it go up for auction twice with no takers. I think I’ve found three bizarre tanks and we’ve watched them all on here. One was a huge rectangular thing of two halves that must’ve been from an office reception or an exhibition. I think it...
