    Today's a new day.

Did a water change today with the gravel vac after I noticed one of the cardinals are not doing very good and the other had excess mucous on their body.

    Today's a new day.

Ordered some art supplies on Amazon and fed the tetras again. I'm starting to like art as equally as my fishkeeping hobby. Art has seen a resurgence.

It's the afternoon and I've completed a graphite drawing of a betta. I will post 6 traditional drawings of fish once they're completed.

    Do you have Cherry Shrimp?

Hi! Cherry shrimp are said to be illegal in my state due to them being non-native shrimp. Only chameleon shrimp and other native shrimp can be sold in fish stores.

    Today's a new day.

School was okay today, better than last time. Due to some circumstances I am a very busy young girl so I will spend less time on the forum. School is as important as my fish. Maybe, only on free time.

    Today's a new day.

@Fishmanic I don't have a phone, only my laptop. I don't like phones because although convenient, I don't like the look of them. I only use my school laptop.

    Today's a new day.

    Today's a new day.

I learnt a bit of Filipino in the social group. :) He's from Australia, but went to the Philippines to do his studies.
  18. elephantnose3334

    Today's a new day.

Fed the tetras for the second time before I went to the social group earlier. The tetras are resting now, I will see them tomorrow.
  19. elephantnose3334

    Today's a new day.

Sorry for the late reply. It was okay. Went to a social group afterwards, met a man who speaks Filipino named July there. He's a nice man who is interested in fish too.

    Today's a new day.

Apparently a cockroach accidentally drowned in the tetras' 41L tank. I don't know how it got in here, but it is most likely that it accidentally fell in the water after climbing up the exterior of the tank. I got it out immediately from the tank using a net and put the dead roach in the bin. I...

    Today's a new day.

School's tomorrow, so I will be very busy. The tetras are resting now. Good night everyone.

    Today's a new day.

The comfort and wellbeing of my fish. It is very important. I understand on what you're asking to me.

    Today's a new day.

Ah! I get it now. Juice is right, however I like cube tanks because they usually are easier to carry when empty.
  25. elephantnose3334

    Today's a new day.

Oh, I see. I was thinking of a 40cm (64L) cube but you're right about it... I thought Seriously Fish gives us the tank size in litres.

    Today's a new day.

Priced out the remaining stuff I need for the Orinoco 45cm cube project. Coontail cost $1 per 30cm and dwarf sagittaria $7.50. The project is ready to go once I calculated everything.

The 'Somewhere' ad? The ad I mentioned is 'Be their hero' ad.

Watched an ad about a pig

I just watched a YouTube ad about a cute piglet and a man. The piglet, named Tottie, and the man became friends after finding her on the side of the road and the piglet goes in the car in a small box. They do all their antics until the near end of the ad, where the man arrives at a pork company...

    Today's a new day.

That's incredible that your fish knew you. Another question: At the LFS I regularly go to, the gold barbs on one of the tanks mistakes me as the food guy and they follow me in the tank. I am not the food guy or don't work at the store but the fish really wanted me to feed them. Do fish mistake...

    Today's a new day.

The forum has been helpful to me as always. The tetras are doing okay currently. A question for @Colin_T: How did your fish respond to you when you feed them, compared to other people? Fish intelligence must be understood more. And how many species of freshwater fish you kept?

    I'm thinking of a multi-tank rack...

Ah! Yes, I will do that. I used to do woodwork at school before Year 11. Woodwork was hard though.

    American flagfish question

And @Fishmanic, let me tell you a story behind my love of flagfish. I first saw flagfish in a pond shop in Cockburn (coh-burn), Australia. The males were displaying their colours in an empty tank on top of other tanks. They cost $9 in the pond shop, but I wish I got some and prepped the tank for...

    American flagfish question

Hmm, this is a good point. The flagfish can do well in the 20 gallon rectangular tank.
  34. elephantnose3334

    Today's a new day.

Yes. I agree with you. I sent you a PM message on how to setup your flagfish tank. :) 54 litres is the minimum according to Seriously Fish.
  35. elephantnose3334

    Today's a new day.

Waiting patiently for the tank project to begin. I can try owning North American native fish, but the flagfish is the only North American fish commonly available in LFS's in Australia.

    American flagfish question

About American flagfish, is it okay to keep a pair of them in a 40cm cube (64L) tank? I am new to American flagfish, and I never kept them before. There are no plants native to Florida in Perth LFS's. So I have no choice but to put plants from different areas of the world.

    Today's a new day.

Today's Tuesday, the final day of school holidays. Fed the tetras now. I am not a woodwork person, but I have built some stuff during school a few years ago. I was thinking of getting an Exo Terra stand for the 45cm cube tank, but I realised that they are either made of particle board or MDF. I...

    Aviaries

I haven't kept birds before, but it will happen in the future when I move out from my childhood home. I was asking questions about aviaries from a person who about to own aviaries point of view.

    I'm thinking of a multi-tank rack...

What are some builders that build double tier cube aquarium racks?
