I'd still recommend going through your LFS for fish. Usually you can just tell them what you want and have them order it. They'll just put it in with their next order, and it won't cost them anything more for shipping than it usually would. They make a profit, and you save $20 or so on...

Powerheads are a yes, because you need water circulation over the live rock. Live rock is your primary biological filtration. External filters, like hang on back power filters..... no... you're actually better off without them. Gunk builds up, no anoxic capabilities for denitrification...

Find out what they are and buy them from some tank not labelled as "feeders". Any feeder fish are just going to be ones that are culled from a hatch and their fate is in the belly of a predator. Unless they're goldfish or guppies, the most common feeders, I would assume there is some reason...

If you're asking whether or not fish can survive in ugly ugly murky nasty water, then just come to where I live and look at the Catawba River sometime. After it rains, the water will be orange with all the mud for weeks. You can scoop out a cupfull, and can't see an inch in front of your face...

At Lowe's and Home Depot in the section with all the glues and sealants, they have various tubes of Silicon. One is "Dap Aquarium Silicon". There ya go :)

I think Glasscages.com makes aquariums like that, without the plastic bracing. I would be wary though, as I've heard lots of bad things about their quality and seaming.

They're all just fine. The clowns baffle me sometimes, because they'll get along just fine, and then one decides it's gonna chase the other one all over the tank. Then they'll stop for a while and play around... then the chasing begins again. The gobies are little piggies, the gramma is even...

You have some crappy pet stores in your area, Ethos. And when it comes to saltwater fish like you're talking about, don't even THINK about buying them from a chain store. The PetCo that's near here is NASTY! Their freshwater section isn't bad, but the saltwater tanks just make me cringe...

Hehehehe.... nice coral :) I got a piece of Xenia from a local club meet, and it was glued onto an old shell. Luckily, the shell I have would require a monster hermit crab to pick up and move :D Good luck getting that guy out... I hope there's nothing in that tank that can sting that coral!
