4ft betta tank - equiptment and advice

Hi all! *long post alert* I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this question but I have an idea/want to know people's thoughts. I have always wanted to make a 'super tank' for a Betta fish. By super tank I really only mean, a huge tank (comparative to most Betta tanks), heavily...

    Centerpiece fish?

We had no issues with our gourami and danios. I think they should work in that size tank also :) https://www.aquariumcoop.com/blogs/aquarium/top-5-centerpiece-fish-for-your-small-to-medium-sized-community-aquarium

    Centerpiece fish?

I LOVE cockatoo cichlids. They are gorgeous fish! We no longer have our 4ft but when we did he had 5 dwarf gouramis to make a collective centre peice. My friend has angle fish as their centre peice- a pair! And I think they look pretty majestic too :)

Show me your aqua babies (betta photos)!

I feel like your names are a winning combo! Everyone always says my name's are too 'human' but I think they have all suited their names well. If you get a fourth Betta, would you continue the theme?!

    Fish addiction....

Story of my life  I have three tanks at the moment. At most, I had 7!! In a perfect world I would have 201 hahah. There's nothing wrong with a little bit of fish addiction in my opinion, however I clearly am biased :p the way I think about it, so long as I am able to look after my...

Is this fin rot or fin loss??

To me it looks like fin rot. I agree with the above that daily water changes should be done. Maybe consider doing more frequent water changes once he is healed to prevent fin rot from reoccurring also. Even if it is some fin tear (I only say this as I can see a faux plant in the photo), it could...

Show me your aqua babies (betta photos)!

Ohhh I love that even more!! So funny how everyone comes up with their aqua baby's names :) Salvador had no name for about two weeks when I first bought him. I couldn't think of one but one day when I was watching him it just 'clicked' - it depends on their personalities! Love it!

I don't know if it's just me but I have taken photos of all my bettas! Currently I have two Elvis and Arnold, but over time have also had Arlo, Salvador and Anthony. All of them are/were adored pets and it's nice to have photos of them. Please share yours! Past and present photos all welcome :)...

    Betta and cherry shrimp

My first fish was a Betta who lived in a 20L/5 G tank with cherry shrimp. Every other Betta I have had since just devour them and they have all lived in tanks 60 litres and up/heavily planted!! I guess my first Betta was just really relaxed :) I actually feed my current Bettas the shrimplets...

    Stocking my 2 tanks

Thanks for responding! Noted about adding food for the snails :) both tanks are heavily planted and that makes for pleantly of hiding spots for the new arrivals and food for the snails! I have had mixed experiences with having my previous Bettas with tank mates so this time I only kept the...

    Stocking my 2 tanks

Hi all! I have a stocking question for my 2 tanks. Neither tank is new/newly set up. They are both cycled but until now have only ever housed one Betta in each. We recently sold our 4 ft community tank and I kept some of the other inhabitants that I particularly liked and split them up between...
