This is so frustrating, betta is one of the most beautiful fish and yet most people treat them like a decoration. I mean some of my friends spend a lot of money for a betta, and ended up putting them in small breeder tank, it really doesn't make sense to me, buying 100 usd fish and putting it in...

I think the fish is going to get better, it's not lethargic and still have appetite for food, I'm pretty sure it'll get better. But still this fish couldn't survive in the pond, so I'll have to find another way to house it.

One of its eyes definitely blind, and the other one is cloudy. I suspect because of poor water quality, I hope the other eye can be healed, but we'll see. But there's one question in my mind, who on earth put a tilapia in an aquarium??? And why would someone do that? I mean it's the equivalent...

    Community tank advice

Cryptocorine is a good idea too, they dont require high lighting and very hardy too (they may melt when first time planted to the tank but thats okay). And since your tank is big i'd recommend maybe some amazon sword in the back ? . And last but not least some fast growing plant like Elodea...

It looks like the length of the fish is 1/4 or at most 1/3 length of the tank, and tank like that usually 30cm-40cm long, so my guess between 8cm-12cm.

    Droopy plants :(

From what i know algae is very common in new tank, especially since your plant havent established. If i remember correctly you should reduce your light time, or add some fast growing plants to absord all the excess nutrients
