1/4/2023 - Happy New Year! Tank continues to evolve, and I am loving every minute of it! I need a good bit more substrate, so I've added one 5-pound bag of sand thru-out the tank. I have another sitting on standby and it will go in at the next water change. The Fluval 307 continues to work...

College was some of the best years of my youth. Get out and explore life from your own lens...that's my best piece of advice.

I have 4 cherry shrimp and 2 blue shrimp in there since day one with the puffer...not a single issue. The shrimp are his size or bigger than him. He also gets a regular diet of live ramshorn snails, frozen blood worms and frozen brine shrimp...so he doesn't go after them.

Really enjoying how my little 7-gallon pea puffer/shrimp tank is coming along...I wish there was a little more "action" in the tank...but honestly, trying to find the little guy at times is a game in itself. A little "Where's Waldo" if anyone remembers those books.

I went from 0 to 100 mph on my fish room...MTS is a real thing! :p My plans for 2023 is to keep it to the 4 tanks I am running...continue to modify and tweak my various aquascapes and watch these ecosystems evolve.

You need enough good bacteria to consume the ammonia into nitrite. Did you jump-start your cycle with any treatment?

every time I do a water change I check/note the temperature along with the other standard water parameters (PH, Ammonia, etc.) I also use heaters in all of my tanks.

I'd probably have a seizure watching 17 tiger barbs in a 5 gallon tank

Today I am relaxing and being a nerd on my gaming PC and loving every second of it! I did knock out over an hour of yard work with one of my boys earlier...so not a totally lost day.

12/25/2022 - The tank is fully cycled and doing great with the handful of fish currently inhabiting the ecosystem. Since the last update I've added a few plants, changed out the air stone suction cups from white to black to hide them a little more, etc. Loving how it's coming together.

Assassin snail...or buy a second nano tank and get a pea puffer and feed them to him...I do both in my fish room lol
