    List of easy plants

Thank you for all of this information, I think we should use this post for the list! Why do you think crinum does not belong in aquarium? I think it is mostly found in river... What plants would you remove from the list?

    55 Gallon Stocking Help

Angelfish are not peaceful fish, here is something Byron wrote about them in a thread named Angelfish question and it helped me choose my stocking : I've posted so much about angelfish of late that I can't remember where I wrote what. So at the risk of repeating... Angelfish is a shoaling...

    List of easy plants

Hi I started a list of easy plants (no co2 and low to medium light) to know what I should buy when I go to my LFS. It would be nice if we could add plants to this list or remove some based on your experience with it. I will edit this post to add plants or remove it from the list.. I am sure it...

    2 filter?

My 10 gallon tank is perfectly clear so this eliminate the particules coming from the water. I could maybe try to run a second filter only with filter floss and see if it improves
  14. Meg0000

    2 filter?

I think it is some sort of bloom and suspended particule matter combined. What would you do? Maybe time will solve it
  15. Meg0000

    2 filter?

if it doesn't get any clearer in a month I think I will try that
  16. Meg0000

    2 filter?

It looks worst when I do a water change so that is why I only do a 20-30% water change/week. Also it is understocked right now so there is no problem I think
  17. Meg0000

    2 filter?

I think it might be a combination of both, I can see small particule floating in the tank getting in the filter
  18. Meg0000

    2 filter?

I only use filter floss to catch small particule , I have a bigger sponge and ceramic for the bacteria. I feel like it would be less efficient if I didn't change it..

    2 filter?

I am not sure if you can really see how it is but here are some pictures

    2 filter?

oops no I don't clean the filter every week, my sentence was not clear. I only change a part of the filter floss every week because it gets dirty fast
  24. Meg0000

    2 filter?

I clean the filter, I change 20-30% water and vacuum the bottom of the tank every week
  25. Meg0000

    2 filter?

It is suspended particule in the water. What is an organic bloom? The flow would not be a big concern, it is adjustable on both and would not bother the fish I think especially the marina s20 filter. I don't know exactly what is causing this
  26. Meg0000

    2 filter?

I have one c4 fluval filter and my water doesn't seem to get perfectly clear on my 50 gallon (4f) tank. I have 1 marina s20 filter and one other c4 fluval filter so I was wondering if I should have one of the 2 filter in extra on my tank ( one at each opposite side) so that there is more...

Thank you for the response, I assume one probably died and a fish ate it or this fish is really good at hide and seek

Pearl gourami gasping for air during like 2 minute

no the other fish looked normal, maybe it was a reaction to stress (new fish in the tank and new environment because I added things)
  29. Meg0000

    1 rasboras hengeli dissapeared

could it be stress? I only have 6 so maybe they were stressed, what do you think? I want to buy more but if it is the pearl gourami that ate them I will bring them back to my LFS. If someone has experience with pearl gourami and small fish I would like to know. I have corydoras, but I don't...

    1 rasboras hengeli dissapeared

Hi when I woke up this morning I had all of my rasboras hengeli and now one is missing. Could my pearl gourami eat one? They only eat tiny food so that would be surprising even tought the rasboras hengeli that I have are small. Yesterday I made a thread about my pearl gourami gasping for air...

    gourami community

Since you have moderatly hard water, a very cool fish you could have is dwarf neon rainbow. Also Paradise fish is kind of in the family of gourami (my profile micture is a female that I have) and could also probably work but I would not recommend them as much because they tend to be agressive...

    gourami community

I have pearl gourami since last week and I can already tell they are very social fish that likes compagny of other pearl gourami. They grow too big for a 20 gallon, I think a 30 is minimum for them. Also dwarf gourami and powder blue gourami are usually more agressive than honey gourami exept...

    gourami community

A lot of fish could mix well with honey gourami, I think they are more peaceful than most gourami.. If you want to keep gourami, I assume your water is soft so you could probably have tetra or rasboras and corydoras
  40. Meg0000

What can I stock my 10 gallon with??

I would also keep it like that but probably rehome the neon tetra. Also if you like snail you could probably have something like a mystery snail, I miss mine, they are very fun to watch especially when they let themself fall from the glass of the tank (some eat plants).
