    10 gallon stocking idea

Can female betta be agressive with tank mates? I mean with pygmy cories... My LFS has a lot of female betta right now and I saw a video of a 300 gallon betta sorority so that's why I am interested :) If there is any chance the betta would kill pygmy corys I would not take the risk for sure. I am...

    10 gallon stocking idea

Someone is taking my paradise fish this afternoon, the person told me that my fish would be in a 20 gallon and that she will add other fish like cories or bristlenose. I am happy that she will finally get a big enough tank to live in and some friends :) I hope home depot will get the sand this...

    Plant identification + fish stocking

I will make sure to get helantium tenellum because I want something not really big, thank you for the informations! Also my LFS now has some red lizard whiptail right now and I will probably be able to go there this weekend! (if you don't remember, it's you that made me discover them)

    Plant identification + fish stocking

Ok thanks, that's perfect! Also your tank looks amazing. I will probably ask my LFS if they can get this plant, it should not be a problem since they now get plants from Tropica.

@Byron you mentionned helantium tellenum as a foreground plant but I saw mixed opinions on if you can trim it or not so what do you think?

    10 gallon stocking idea

I have 2 white cloud mountain minnow in my 55 gallon, I have never mentionned it because I am not so proud of it... I got a small group of them 3 or 4 months ago because I wanted another fish with my paradise fish, she ate I think 3 of them in 2 days. The temperature is not suitable for them in...

Would keeping only 2 males be an option?

In the last 2 days everything was okay, there was no constant chasing and I fed the fish at different places so there was less agressivity :)
  12. Meg0000

    Growing out those roots

Really interesting, the frogbits roots in my 55 gallon grow really long and amazingly well but not in my 10 gallon so that might be the cause.

Would keeping only 2 males be an option?

Thanks for your help, the smallest is about 3 inch and the biggest 3 inch and a half so I really think they are both males. They are very agressive at feeding time and then they are really more agressive than usual for around 2 hours after. Is there a way I can help so they are less agressive...

Would keeping only 2 males be an option?

That's pretty much what I tought but would it even be possible for a female pearl gourami to look like that? when I compare to picture on internet, the fish looks defenitly like a male.

Would keeping only 2 males be an option?

Do females get bright orange chest? my picture is not good as I said so it might be difficult to see... I would really like if it turns out to be a female but I really doubt it, the dorsal fin is quite long for a female.

First picture is the dominant male (sorry, these are not good pictures)

Would keeping only 2 males be an option?

I think you are right, if the males continue to harass the female I will rehome the small male and the female. I hope I won't have to but I think it's the best solution. Oh and yes the 2 males are defenitly 2 males, there is no hesitation.

Would keeping only 2 males be an option?

Hi, I posted on another thread that one of my female pearl gourami died last night due to bullying of my other pearl gourami. :(.The 2 males are now being very mean to the female so I think it might end up the same way as it did for the small female gourami that passed away. Would keeping 2...

I changed the wood position to allow more swimming place, the pygmy corys would also have a cave/shaded area. So should I remove it or there is enough swimming place ? (picture below) I went at home depot and they didn't have the sand but they said the will get some soon so that's good :)

    Good schooling fish

I think my temperature is too high (25°) but I will have this fish one day in a lower temperature tank. I would probably have them with panda cory wich I can't have right now also because of temperature. I think that's what you have in one of your tank right? I really like how you stocked that tank
