I wasn't aware that the tank was full of filth and gunk.

Please help, German Rams very agressive

It will be quite hard to add another ram, male or female to the tank now that he has claimed it. A female might work but it seems he is unlikely to tolerate another male. If you do go for a female, then I'd suggest taking the male out, rearranging the tank completely and putting male and female...

Help! What is wrong with my White Cloud Minnow?

I would stick to your 20-30% regime. Your white cloud died from old age, no amount of water changes would have reversed that process. The amount and frequency of water changes being advised seems way over the top to me.

Help! What is wrong with my White Cloud Minnow?

Best method is the one suggested, put it in a paper towel and whack it with a hammer. It's over in a second. While it may not be something you enjoy doing (nobody does) it's the best thing for the fish which is the most important thing.

Help! What is wrong with my White Cloud Minnow?

4 years is a pretty decent age for a white cloud. I think it's just his time. He is just basically wasting away.

    Are these eggs

It's more likely to be the opposite. I don't think many corries lay eggs on the substrate, On the glass or on plants is more common.

The remains of Corydora eggs I'd say

    Showing off the tank

It's just a personal opinion but I think Java moss looks a lot better cropped short. It will get very straggly if you let it grow out. You can trim it and use the trimmings in another place.

Why is my Dwarf Gourami chasing my Columbian tetra??

Yeah, Willbacon has it spot on. Ignore anything this guy tells you about fish.

    Showing off the tank

Looks great, I'd keep the java moss trimmed a lot shorter. It will look better IMO and spread quicker.

wondering what kind of plant this is

I don't, I just use the cheapest I can find. (which won't be seachem I'm sure.)

    Microworm Cultures

I only notice a smell when I take the lid off to feed fish. But yeah, definitely have cultures at different stages to keep them going.

    Microworm Cultures

Easy to keep, and all you would have to do would be to split your original portion into 2 parts. I use oatmeal mixed with a little water so its slightly damp, then sprinkle with brewers yeast.

wondering what kind of plant this is

For most plants, tabs that you stick in the substrate will be at least as good.

wondering what kind of plant this is

Could be a lot of things, it doesn't look very healthy. I'll have a guess at heteranthera zosterifolia (Stargrass). Or maybe a pygmy chain sword and the runner from the mother plant is whats stuck in the substrate.

    Fungus

That treatment sounds ideal. I don't want to dose the whole tank, and certainly not with something like methylene blue.

    Fungus

I noticed on of my cories has a couple of patches of fungus. Looking for recomendations for treatments for him. I have some methylene blue which I can use for a bath if necessary but I'm wondering if anyone has had success with other meds.

    Tadpoles

This is my pond, it's not at it best this time of year, it will look better in the summer. The black blob in the 2nd pic is a mass of tadpoles. There are also some in the two tubs. The first tub is where my white clouds will be spending the summer months, another 3-4 weeks I think till its...

    Tadpoles

A friend just brought me a load of tadpoles from a pond on the golf course. I've now got a couple of hundred of them in my pond and a few in some planted tubs I have. I hope when (if) they turn into frogs they will think of my pond as home and not try to make their way back to the golf course...

Rainbows laying lots of eggs, and not eating them this time!

In that case the parents will possibly look after them, if not and you want the fry, next time they lay eggs take the rock out and put it in a small tank to hatch them. You will need an airstone to keep water moving gently over the eggs to help keep them free of fungus.

Rainbows laying lots of eggs, and not eating them this time!

I asked because these look like cichlid eggs to me and not eggs laid by egg scatterers. There is a lot of differences in hatching out the eggs.

Are we talking about rainbow cichlids? There are a few fish called rainbows.
