Hi there I have been wondering if this water changing system is working. It's a 70 L tank Monday I do 10 litres (1 bucket change) Then Thursday I do 20 litres water change (2 buckets) Is this too much or too little? Or not quite right.

Thanks. Sadly a few days ago I cut off two of my java Fern leaves because they had algae

That's the problem. I just don't know what the cause is. I checked the parameters today. All fine(I think). No direct sunlight. Bit of indirect sunlight. But maybe it's the nutrients and I just don't know what. Thanks

Yes. I had some java moss growing when I had cold water and it just looked brown and sad. I removed it and now I have bits growing on the drift wood in the tank. I hope it keeps growing

Oh weights for plants that's interesting

Some of the plants grow out of the substrate. Some aren't planted because they just come out and float next to planted plants. I can't keep putting my arm in there to plant when the plants keep popping out. Is it ok to leave them suspended in the water?

I had these in cold water and climatised them into warm water. I wonder if they like it cold better.

Do you need a heater at the gravel. I have trouble keeping the plants in the gravel. They have kept floating to the top. But now they are staying in the gravel. It's been hard work really a lot of work I haven't expected it to be so much work

Should I cut of the leaves with the algae on them?

Oh no that's terrible. What can I do? I was reading about hydrogen peroxide. Is this the only way. I don't want to do that.

Nitrite is 0 and Nitrate is 10 or 20 ppm. Thanks

The ammonia seems low 0 ppm or little higher

I have done the high range as well. Maybe 7.4 pH. Could be 7.8
