Gars can be awkward to get feeding but once they are settled they take anything and with that I mean pellets too . I used to feed my spotted gars silversides, prawns etc and live worms to start with but after a while took massivore too

Cory are really easy to rear if eggs in their own tank. Once they hatch and once egg sack used I feed a powder fry food then as they get bigger crush a catfich pellet with regular small water changes and they soon become mini adults.

Thats amazing Zante. Had my 15 for about 16 months now and never seen anything that resembles spawning behaviour. How do you know these fry are rummies? Any pics?

I have 3 now that I have had for a couple of months or so. Great fish I can't believe I've not had a tank for them before. They are in my discus tank and seem to be doing well feasting on the beefheart and brine shrimp I feed. I want to add a couple more but not sure if they accept new tankmates...

I kept 9 in a 750 litre tank once. Had an idea in my head that it would be a cool looking set up but the reality is they were messy so water conditions hard to keep up and so skittish and boring which is a shame

I always use them as they are so cheap and actually look quite nice in the tank. Plecs love them and I have never had a problem I just give it a scrub before it goes in

My personal view is that your discus should be the main men in a discus set up and the ones that get most of the food. Angels are so greedy and boisterous that the discus will never flourish with them in there. I've tried it a few times but alway sold the angels on for the discus benefit

I keep discus. If I was you I'd go for the 5 new ones if you want to keep discus.then thats a good place to start.

Hoplos are ace. Always one of my favourite fish and I have had them at numerous times in different set ups. Always wanted an adult breeding pair after seeing a pair as a teenager. You have made me want to get a couple of smaller ones now :)
