Would a water butt with filter be good enough, and would ya use the water straight out of it or do something additional?

    Unusually swollen guppy!

So I dosed with esha ndx as suggested, yesterday morning. Came to do the water change this morning and put the carbon back in. All fish were fine except bettas, snail fine, 1 out of 2 amano shrimp who survived the interpret anti internal bacteria meds last week is yet to be seen as always...

Just API aquarium salt. The RO system I am still researching as I cannot drill the counter/sink for the tap (I rent my property) and the counter top ones don't seem great. Lots of people overprice the system and maintenance so I am taking adequate time to choose a suitable system for me.

    Lowering kH and pH

If reducing water changes, then how to keep nitrates under control? Should I just dose prime and stability from seachem weekly and hope the cycle improves? Cut down water changes from weekly to monthly?

I mainly am looking for a large piece for aesthetics, however, two stones in one, I am hoping it will lower PH. I add aquarium salt for health benefits as recommended by the medicine brand to support treatment, but it raised the PH and I don't think almond leaves are enough to lower the PH again...

    Polyglutaraldehyde?

90 litre, PH stays at 6.5 -7.5 ish, when i use the almond leaves, it drops, but after water changes it goes up. KH and GH stay at the highest the API test readers. I use tap water. working on getting an RO system to control this it's a financial restriction atm. Where can I find info on the 14...

    Polyglutaraldehyde?

This time is the 3rd time we've had BBA, previously we just did a deep clean and dipped ornaments and plants in hydro peroxide. It was spreading like wildfire. This time, it was spreading very slow, barely at all, and it was sticking only to one plant. An anubias nana (I think, looks like it...

    Polyglutaraldehyde?

I read an article which lead me to consider that Co2 injections will improve my black beard algage issue whilst allowing my plants to thrive. Previously I was fertilizing then I realized it just fed the algae and the plants could not compete. I found a product which is named as a BBA remover...

    Unusually swollen guppy!

I just looked again, malachite green is in the esha exit. My mistake. I've bought gdex too now. Follow up question to anyone who has so far shared such valuable knowledge. I received the ndx today and am a bit confused reading the leaflet as I didn't see this on the website. It says to...

Thanks. That's good advice. I can get esha gdex. Its just it has malachite green in it amongst other things and their extended product info says they have not observed negative effects on shrimp or snails but there isn't enough evidence. Everything else online says MG kills shrimp and snails.

    Unusually swollen guppy!

So should I just get praziquantel and levimasole? Will they get rid of everything? I mean what can I use to get rid of all worms that is shrimp and snail and plant safe? The article sent here mentioned many substances so I chose from there, I thought it was UK based.

    Unusually swollen guppy!

I've already ordered based on the article I think you sent which mentioned metronidazole lol maybe for future I can get praziquantel on its own but for now, I'm out of money and time since I need to treat as soon as they arrive. Two fish died. The swollen one in the photo, and another one who is...

    Unusually swollen guppy!

i'll have to medicate for swim bladder after the worms as clearly there is a worm issue. However, another guppy swims on its side occasionally, then returns to normal shortly after.. so it's worth treatment for swim bladder, not at the same time. Plus I have interpret swim bladder, so I might...

    Unusually swollen guppy!

Thanks everybody. Almost all the fish have stringy white poop so I've researched the suggestions and I have bought API general cure for Metronidazole and Praziquantel, and I've bought eSHa-ndx for Levamisole. I now have learned I should always have these in my cabinet for urgencies and new fish...

Grey worm like "insects" in tank?

Thank you. On another thread someone mentioned detritus worms being white? Are they in different colours? I only recently began gravel vacuuming since I didn't even know about it at first then I read it disturbs the tank too much, I also always thought plants use up the gunk at the bottom. But...

Grey worm like "insects" in tank?

Hi. There is the video link below to see what I'm refering to. The video won't upload on here as an attachment. Towards the end I zoom in and you can see it moving and it looks a bit like an ant with antennas. I have cleaned off the fry tank lid now, there was flaked food on it from when I...

Well a few of my fisg definitely have white poop. I've never seen this before. Now I feel I should treat the whole tank for worms. Unfortunately I dosed interpret anti internal bacteria yesterday and my shrimp died.

    MOLLIES, SCALE DAMAGE!?

Hi, the photo is a bit blurry of the scale issue so I've added another photo of a healthy black molly so you can see the difference. The molly's right side scales are silver instead of black. The one nxt to the red betta female. Please assume all my parameters are all ok, my water is clean. I...
