The danios will nip the gouramis feelers, so it is probably a no-go with the gouramis since danios are active and semi boisterous fish. Instead of the emerald corys, you could probably go with 6-7 panda corys provided your tank is a 20 long.

Update: The shrimp is not like that any more. All five shrimp look normal and there is no discolouration. I have a feeling one of the blue velvets was the one who had the discolouration. I think he was also just changing his shell which could've been why he looked a bit different.

The angels will outcompete the gouramis and if you plan to keep the same species, there will be territorial fights and the angels will most likely force the gouramis out. Best to go with 8-10 corys instead of the gouramis.

This has nothing to do with the nitrate spike but the rainbows and the platys need hard water over 200ppm however your tetras are fine in that type of water.

@EllRog is right, the betta will just eat the fry. It would be like putting a betta in with baby RCS, they would all be eaten regardless of how peaceful your betta is because it's essentially a snack for them.

I feel like a honey gourami is the most peaceful anabantoid along with the pearl gourami. They won't turn aggressive.
