    Possible Sick Goldfish

Right, turns out. It isn't the snail. The snail must just have been eating it making it look like it was producing them. Any Ideas? Over feeding?

    Possible Sick Goldfish

Turns out, they are in fact snail eggs. They aren't bumpy like eggs so the only logical explanation I can come to are; they were too fresh and still had a placenta-like sack or they are unfertilised?

    Possible Sick Goldfish

The black moor in my Girlfriends fish tank has been fine for over a year until today. Today it seems to just rest on the floor for 10-20 seconds before swimming off like a healthy fish. However, there is floating waste and there was a strange pink blob-like 'matter' (Which we first assumed to be...

I'm genuinely surprised. I don't purchase from forums using a postage method for this exact reason but previous posters seemed happy and Swansea had enough post for me to trust. Not impressed.

April 2012 Tank Of The Month Competition Entries

I tried it, expecting it to look awful but it looked really nice and natural and added colour to the tank and fish. I've had a couple of Kibensis in there and I occasionally put bloodworm/brine shrimp in them to ensure the smaller fish and rope snake aren't out-competed for frozen food. Seems to...

    Fine Bubble Mist.

Hello, I'm looking to recreate or get very close to the fine bubble mist you can achieve in marine tanks in a a freshwater tank. What would be the best material to use on the end of an air line? Also, I would like it to cover as large an area as possible. Kind regards.

    New 64Ltr Project

Are your rocks resting on the glass? If so I'd advise taking them off, from what I've seen, this makes the glass really susceptible to algae staining.

    Reedfish/ropefish

I've had one for at least 6 months now and he hasn't escaped from my lidded tank. Mine even had a a 2inch gap running all the way across for a few months and nothing happened, I know he's inclined to jump because he jumped out of a bucket and spent half an hour on carpet before. As long as you...

    What Would You Do?

Thanks aha. I strategically placed that sand as these photos were taken about 5 mins after I created that look today. :fun: I agree, I don't want a dense underwater forest, but something IS "missing". Thanks for the compliments though, appreciated. :good:

    What Would You Do?

Hello, I would like to enter the world of planted aquariums but am a complete noob in this area. I have my heart set on Cabomba but beyond that I'm clueless and am unsure of the arrangement. Thought i would pass the 'canvas' onto you guys to see what you would do with it. I'm very happy with...

It is second hand. If the seller was untruthful and it was literally just taken from a tree, would that make a difference?

    Bogwood Trouble

Yeah. It's hard to get into all the small spots though. Some places you can just scratch your nail and it will fill with soft wood.

    Bogwood Trouble

Hello, Not sure if this is in the right section, my apologies if it is not. I've had bog wood in my tank for months now, and the tannins are annoying but I'm not so fussed as I have a UV light filter ready to be installed and could purchased some carbon. However, my bogwood keeps dropping...
