Most Plecs will help out a lot but if its your lights thats causing the algae then keeping them off will help out too. Plus your tank needs to be a good size for plecs :good:

Sounds good Justin, just keep monitoring it. You can add if you need to at a later date. The drums will really help you out to when it comes to adding when you do water changes etc..

Ok, ive never used that personally but im pretty sure it will be very similar to the seachem lake salts. How much bicarb/epsom salts are you/have you added? If the TM Pro Cichlid Mineral works similar to the lake salts then all that's needed is 1 teaspoon of the bicarb and/or epsom salts per 25L...

Your lucky that you have a wider range of cichlids to choose from, most struggle to get past the Pseudotropheus socolofi, met greshakei, Met estherae mark etc.. These are still beautiful fish but nicer to get something a little more unique, why not have both the pseudo elongatus and labs?

Malawi Bloat is usually fatal if its not caught early( so you could be lucky) What's your feeding regime saz? How many times/How much/what food etc?? You can use Clout probably the best treatment available for bloat.
