The first pic looks a little like a labidochromis chisumulae but not a 100% sure. The 2nd pic could be a metriaclima lombardoi going by what you say been a slight blue colour but these can have the 1 or 2 black stripes on the head. In the 2nd pic it to looks a little like gallireya reef long...
Ok, Nope, no ammonia spike ive done this for the years ive kept mbuna and never had one myself. O have WC to which are a lot more temperamental and these too never react bad when adding 6 to 12 at a time. As long as your water is in top condition and monitored then it will be fine. If you do, do...
What species are you thinking and what filtration you running? Plus how long has the tank been running? The 2 new fish will get harassed as their been singled out, as morph said moving the rocks about will help and adding at least 6 or more fish at a time is the best way to avoid new fish been...
Thanks mate, what about the small kinda grass plant's? That you can cover the whole bottom of your tank makes the tank look awesome. How do these hold up??
I got T5 too i know these are alot stronger so these could help. Thanks for that mate :good:
Hi all
can anyone give me tips and share some knowledge with me about how to make plants thrive well. Substrate,CO2, ferts, what plants etc... Anything at all useful to help me make a decent planted tank.
Much appreciated
Depends on species most say to overstock but i disagree if you choose your species wisely you can make a more natural looking rift set-up that isn't packed and looks ridiculous IMO. Some species do need slightly higher numbers to spread out the aggression but not excessively high in numbers.
Could be Johanni yes, as they have the slight whiteish markings appearing. Their face looks similar to a saulosi mind you. Have to wait to see if any change to the male colouration :good:
It is a big piece, yeah i bought it yesterday, the tank has cleared up a little today but still not happy with how it looks. Not natural enough (yet)
How many Discus you thinking :P ??
Still no nothing about the Co2 route or anything either so need to have a read i think :) Yeah discus would be awesome but i don't think the tank is big enough(not sure though).
Yeah i noticed them all looking at the clip, looked funny. What are the next 5 to 6 fish you want then?? Hopefully you will get some breeding going on in there soon :good:
Yup think you got a good plan there I would like firemouths as i was saying yesterday :P
Trops, still got my 2 cichlid tank's so want something a little different. Whats the best way to get plants growing well??
Picked this up today to replace my 60L tank, taken me so long to set up but its just done roughly for now will look good (hopefully) when i get it how i want it :hyper: Need a co2 system to get decent plant growth going etc.. Need to learn how to scape planted tanks well too
Tank is looking brilliant and you have got some nice species there, the clipping of the hair clip made me laugh  when i saw it i thought what the hell is that haha but then i realised :P.. Glad that everything is settled :good:
Yeah i get what you mean lol (i think)
So you wanting it to grow up the wood and cover it from the base upwards? If that all works out that will look class too, very natural looking. :good:
Joking btw gidge :)
and Ruskull certain cichlids you can just not african as it causes something called 'malawi bloat' Their digestive system just cant cope with the bloodworm :good:
Ill let you know for definite tomorrow but more than likely i will have this (fingers crossed) :good:
as long as its still forsale, do you have a contact number??
