Goodness I haven't been on here in a long LONG time. Things have been pretty full on here down under. I've been interstate for the past 2 months also! Hope you all are well!   Recently I lost Papa Krib :( Not sure why, he just disappeared. However, he has provided me with an opportunity to get...

    Moving Tanks And Fish Interstate

Wow thanks so much for all the info! I googled the breather bags and they are such a good invention! We were thinking of hiring a big van and driving the tanks and fish over. At least that way I can keep an eye on everything. Time for me to do some more googling and look at what costs I'm in...

Hello all, I'm currently looking at moving to Adelaide soon, it's about 2000kms from Perth and a 3hr plane ride. My problem is; how the heck do I move my tanks and fish?! Desperately seeking advice. I can't afford to dish out loads of money, and I don't want to sell anything. Appreciate...

Well I guess I'll be making a trip to the fish shop tomorrow! I want to up my numbers of Hengle's. As promised, pictures have arrived. This is when the Bacopa's and Costata's had died. My vallis had suddenly decided to struggle like it's Monday morning as well. This is just to show how...

Well I planted the new additions today. I have to say, the quality of these plants were excellent. A much larger size then what I'm used to getting and so healthy! I'll wait until tonight to take photos, give it time to settle. Also, seeing as CO2 is produced by fish respiration, am I right in...

Sorry I haven't replied for a while. I've been away and just had so much drama going on! Well the plants that I said were looking a bit sad have all died :( There is nothing left of the Bacopa and Costata. But on the up side, all the swords are doing marvelous! I've already cut off a shoot...

    Kind Of Rescaping

I hope so! Some of the Bacopa's are starting to do it also. All 7 of my Cory's are doing fine. I usually have a problem where one of the new group will die. But they're all doing well :D As for the rams, I was told that even without a female for Mr Krib, he will most likely kill them based on...

Oh I hope so! I'm a bit stuck with fish at the moment. It's looking a bit empty. But I have no idea what to put in there. I really wanted a pair of Rams, but I don't think they're going to get along with the Krib too well. :(

Okey Dokey! Just going to post some of the progress as well, so you can see why it took me 6 flipping hours! First of all, had to get the set up right. Having the table there was SO much easier then bending over all the time! Put all my new plants into buckets. Then the pruning and...

    Cichlid Re-scape!

Thanks! If I could protect the base of the plant with some rocks, it might have a chance. But otherwise, I think I might stick with Vallis and maybe the Amazon Sword. I really can't imagine Java Fern on those rocks :/ Time to start ordering more plants ;)
