You'll get good answers from people more experienced than me, I was just going to say that mollies can get kind of larger and can be somewhat aggressive to other fish. They're not neccesarily good candidates for a peaceful community tank.

Petco and Petsmart usually have the manzanita for like under $20. They are aren't super big pieces, but some of them are interesting.

Sorry for your distress. You sound very conscientious and caring. I wouldn't even call it a "mistake", it's more like bad luck. I think most of us have much more than 1 fish's blood on his/her hands due to making a mistake.

Yeah, I can't tell right now. I'm good at doing that with some fish, like platys, but no idea with these yet. I'll keep observing them for signs of aggression. So far, they are fine - exploring the tank. They're awesome little fish!

I may be wrong, but looks like a standard convict cichlid to me. I like them too. Super easy to breed, also.

Do you know the gender of your ram? I heard two males will fight. I think most people don't like the test strips and much prefer the API water test kit because it's much more precise. I'm no expert but I've read that water changes should be a smaller percentage for rams - 10-15% at a time.

Static only. No pics worth showing, I'm not that great, although I do enjoy it. I do 1/72 scale WWII planes. The A-10 is a great looking plane and one of the non-WWII planes I'd consider doing. I'm thinking of going back to 1/48 scale because nowadays the selection for that scale is better...

I've skydived (skydove?). I haven't scuba dived because my instructor yelled at me when I accidentally dropped my regulator in the water and it gave me temporary anxiety. I did snorkel with reef sharks in the Bahamas, though. That was cool.

I used to have a poison dart frog vivarium (plan to again) and that was fairly expensive in the beginning. I think my most expensive hobby, oddly, is making model airplanes.
