My pleco has been in for a couple of days and all seems well at the moment, but if my elephant noses get uncomfortable with her she'll be moved back into my 30 gallon.

I would say the root tabs as well especially as they contain copper.

I have 3 African shrimp and they love too hide in some silly places! Is it possible that yours have found a place they like? They can squeeze into really tight places. Some also come out at night maybe have a look then? Also do you have a lid on your tank as they are climbers.

Hi to keep 1 the tank should be around 50 gallons, I kept mine on his own for a long time as he would attack everything that I put in with him. So I upgraded his tank and tried more elephant noses and it was the best thing I did for him. They are definitely species only tanks and love their own...

That's their chin the mouth is above it, the chin helps to find food using an electrical impulse. Once you get to know them their really cool very friendly fish I love keeping them.

Hi I've bred red longfin bristlenoses, the Male stays with the eggs and fans them he does all the work until the babies leave the cave. I dont remove either Male or female. Good luck with them :fish:

I would give plenty of fresh water (water conditioner added of course) add salt to help as well. Definitely cut back on his feeding as too much can make them feel poorly. Does he look bloated at all?

Sorry it means partial water change. If heat is increased slowly it's better for the fish.

When I had ich in my tanks I used just heat, plenty of pwc, increased oxygen due to the temperature increase. I've never lost a fish. Maybe the medicine your using isn't agreeing with the platies?
