got the tank moved a few weeks ago, it was a massive headache but all the fish survived. i had a pretty bad shrimp loss but i expected that, they’re fragile creatures

i know @Colin_T has been tryna get a dark mode on here for years lol in all seriousness i don’t think the forum itself has a dark mode, but like @MaloK said you can use a dark mode on your browser. however, it doesn’t work on an iPhone if you have dark mode turned on for Safari.

low budget? canister filter it is. just make sure you have tons of filter media in there. if you could find a tank with a sump already set up that would be idea, but if you just have a regular 90g tank, trying to drill and plumb the tank would be an absolute hassle and definitely not low...

thanks! that’s definitely my favorite shrimp out of all the shrimp i have. i have the male too so hopefully they’ll breed sometime and i’ll get more tigers? who knows!

they prefer soft, live plants to rest on. my past bettas have loved anubis, anacharis, and water sprite to rest on :)

i haven’t noticed any aggression between the barbs and the shrimp which is really good because that was something i was worried about when i first got stock. i actually saw a baby cherry shrimp last night so that’s a really good sign :)

looks like hair algae or thread algae, both caused by too much nutrients. (too much light, overfeeding, etc)

i bought 20 assorted shrimp from this seller on eBay called PVN aquatics, and the whole transaction went very well. i only had 1 DOA but they shipped 2 extra anyway so i technically got one free here’s their eBay page...
