is it easier to rehome a small pleco or a larger one?

i currently have a 7in common pleco in my 55 gallon. i need a bigger tank but im stuck on if i get a 75 right now how long could the pleco be kept in the 75 before it out grows it. i dont have 600 for a 125 right now. what should i do? ive been in the hobbie almost 2 years.
