Do I still need to acclimate If I get the 1 gal tank temp the same as the 5 gal tank temp? Cuz I have a fish net that I can use. If I still do have to acclimate with the Ziploc bag, do I need to rinse/clean the Ziploc bag if its new?

@Essjay I called the shop and they said that I could dump the 1 gal with the betta into the 5 gal, then drip in same temp water. Would that work? Then after that I add the Tetra Safe Start Plus.

Yep, I used Tap water with conditioner. If water temps are the same, do I still acclimate? If not, what do I do? Any kind of bag? I already threw away the original cup.

Thanks @Essjay! I put the betta in a plastic 1 gallon tank yesterday because I felt bad for leaving it in the cup. (Got the 1 gal tank and a goldfish from a School Carnival and the goldfish died in a week) What do I do to proceed?

The safe start plus says add the whole bottle for up to 20 gal. But I have a 5 gal and I'm wondering if 3.38 oz is too much.

My aquarium isn't cycled. So @Byron, it is safe to add a full 3.38 bottle even for a 5 gal aquarium. Right?

The Safe Start Plus says you can add fish instantly though. And I don't think my parents are willing to buy ammonia. :( Also, @PorshaF do I rinse sand/filter and other stuff with dechlorinated water or is tap water okay for rinsing?
