You could add a Gourami into the mix, dwarf gouramis are semi aggressive but pretty slow moving and would rather flare up and chase rather than nip at other fish. Grow about 2.5 inch but they’re wider and would go well with your smaller fish in my experience! They come in all sorts of colours...

Yes that sounds a lot better! I find corys will school with other types of corys but could always be an exception. I’m sure they’d love more friends!

Yes they’re sold at per stores as bronze Cory or green Cory because the bronze give off a green iridescent but they’re the same thing!

Usually mixing varieties is fine as long as you stay with FFM ratio

Gourami have an upturned very small mouth so I’m not sure a fellow gourami could even inflict that kind of damage. Is he the smallest of the gouramis? Is he full size yet? Can’t tell from the photo... might have been an angel they are also territorial and if they feel there’s a shortage of food...

Looks like an injury. My Gouramis can get very territorial especially when it’s two males fighting for dominance. Are they both males?

I realized I was looking at the test in very bright natural light and with a white LED light lol. When I brought it into a different room I could clearly see that the test read between 5ppm and 10ppm for nitrates (I think that means it’s working?)

I have been using tetra safe start gel bacteria balls as well as nitration cycle and was told that after putting those in for the first few days I should introduce fish to get that ammonia in and help the cycle... is this bad advice?
