Seems like it has a 'moonlight' setting, which is blue light over night. Is that bad for the fish? Also, seems a bit annoying that the only way to cycle through settings is turning it off/on again. Might be a pain to set up a timer for.

Thanks, looking at the prices, it's <£1 more for the aquaball 130. So would make sense to get that one then turn down the flow. Interesting. I think a heavily planted tank with a group of honey gourami could be really nice.

Thanks, would an Aquaball 60 be sufficient? I've read/seen elsewhere that we should aim to have 3-4 times the filtration rate of the tank size.

Also, are you using the CF80 filter that came with the tank? How do you find it?

I can find the KH reading, but there's no mention of GH. In my report KH is actually referred to as 'Total Hardness as CaCO3'. It's 250ppm but converting back that makes 14KH.   Is there another term that could refer to GH? The full report says:   Total hardness as CaCO3: 250ppm Degrees...
