Noticed that one of my bronze Cory's fins has been completely nipped off and a few others also been nipped.( Tiger barbs the main culprits) not seen them yet nipped but Do the fins grow back?

At the moment I have vallisneria. And just a heater and filter. So I may as well just use an inert soil topped with whatever and add root tabs as eventually I would have to add them anyway?

Trying to change my substrate in my 150L and Looking at different soil substrates that the plants will do well in. It's a minefield with lots of choice. Inactive vs active. From what I've seen the "best" substrates all seem to leak ammonia or change the water kh and ph so would need to be...

I agree. The colour of the test I read as 0 but the colour difference between 0 and 40ppm is very subtle so some else may read it as 40. And again I agree I change at least 50% each week I'm not a bit worried about the tests all the fish are healthy I was just curious, I enjoy learning about...
