From what I have seen people recommend, a 5 or 6 foot tank would be okay for a group, but I have never kept them myself (my largest tank is a 4 foot).

How long ago did you buy it? It looks like a maybe an Asian water fern, related to the Java ferns. The leaves will probably die off, then regrow once the plant adjusts to your water.

I would avoid having 2 rainbow sharks. Once they are full grown, they will get territorial and one will beat up on the other.

No, none I got from Buceplants had snails or hanger-ons. Some I ordered from ebay did, but I purposely breed pond snails in one of my tanks and just put the ones I saw in there, then did my bleach dip.

I like jungle vals for my background. I got some that were almost 5 feet long from my lfs. Three plants for $10. It has grown pretty quick too. I purchased some large anubias plants from the Buceplants website. It was three large leaved striped anubias on a short rhizome piece in one pot.

Most plants will melt when placed into a different aquarium, as they adjust to the new parameters. I use flourish and easy green and they keep my water lettuce growing fast.

If the betta has a large and heavy tail, the depth could become a problem. One of my bettas is getting old and I hade to out him in a shallow tank, so he can reach the surface. A short finned betta likely wouldn't have a problem.

I don't know that there are any specific symptoms for copper poisoning. I know that API does have a test kit for it though. A call to your local water provider might give you some answers. You local petstore might offer testing, if they have it in their kits. You can call and ask.

My lfs is ordering more fish than ever, and trying some new distributors, and have to get 2 orders a week. Their fish are practically flying out the door. The local Petco's tanks get a bit empty on Tuesdays and Wednesdays ,with deliver on Thursday mornings.

Are there any symptoms? Are they odd looking after they die? Do you have copper pipes, or a lot of copper in your water?

Do you know the ph and gh levels? That will probably be the deciding factor in the range of fish kept, unless you are willing to soften or harden your water (which can be tricky without practice).

You can run the two filters side by side for about two months, then put the bio balls from the C3 to the Tidal. I am personally very happy with my Tidal 55. I have mine on a 55 gallon tank.

Have you looked at any 33 longs? Same length as a 55, but only 12 inches high. I have seen a couple local store with them, but not any online.
