I've been getting reports from parents and other friends in Colorado, and I've been checking the Daily Camera and Denver Post. Looks like they're getting the ones near Boulder under control, but the one near Estes Park looks really scary. I hope you guys get that forecasted snow!

The habrosus/pygmaeus fry in the pleco tank is still there. I hadn't seen it for a few days, but I've had several sightings today. No idea if there is only one fry, or if we've been seeing more than one.

No sightings since early afternoon of the pygmy/habrosus fry in the Hypancistrus tank. The plecos have all been manically racing around, so if it has any sense, it will be hiding. There's quite a few black cory (probably) fry in the fry tank.

I saw a cory fry in my Hypancistrus tank. The plecos live with eight C. pygmaeus and three C. habrosus. I don't know how many fry there are, as I've never seen eggs. I fear the wee guys will have to survive the plecos and the powerheads on their own. I hope they do.

Cool. They're not common in LFS, so finding one might be a faff. The shop near me that gets weird and wonderful obscure species of fish might be able to get their hands on them.

If I can save my eggs from raphael catfish, you should be able to beat the mollies to them. :) Is my fry tank too deep? It's 29L. I don't know how far up the tiny fry can swim or if they need to be closer to the surface. Picture has Austrian Alpine Club card for scale. @NCaquatics?

Are there any CO-based fishkeeping Facebook groups where you could touch base with other people having the same issues? They might have some ideas as well. This must be widespread across the Front Range.

What's a 'normal' cory? There's hundreds of species. I don't think pandas are hard to get at all. I've seen them at Pets at Home and at Maidenhead Aquatics.

Why do you think they won't spawn in the 57?

Your 57 can't possibly be worse for breeding than my 55. I've caught two spawnings (the first, all the eggs got fungus), but admittedly if the corys spawn in the middle of the night or when we're away, there's no chance of eggs surviving.

Oh, so sorry to read this, NCAquatics. When things go wrong in an aquarium, they can go wrong fast. Fingers crossed the rest of your fish survive. It's a sobering reminder to be super careful at the moment.
