Forgot to say, make sure you don't leave the lettuce in the aquarium for more than 2 or 3 hours otherwise you may have an ammonia spike.

I had the same problem a few months ago, I fixed it by putting a peice of lettuce in the tank, an hour later 90% of the snails where on the lettuce. I then proceeded to put that peice of lettuce into a bin. I removed the other 10% manually. If this doesn't work you can also get snail traps...

I'm not entirely sure if they interbreed, but if they do I wouldn't take the risk.

Ok everyone, I have decided to buy 1 dwarf gourami for the tank, once I deal with my nh4 and no4 I'll get one, I'll feed it frozen brine shrimp once or twice a week and live brine shrimp every few weeks.

I'll wait until 0 ammonia before getting fish, I'll do a water change and I'll siphon up any feces.

I would lower the pH a bit depending on what fish you want, the most accurate and effective way to lower pH is by using pH stabilisers, api sells good ones for a decent price. If you don't want to get pH stabilisers indian almond leaves would be the next best option, it takes longer for pH to...

I agree with @Fishmanic , are your fish eating all the food your feeding them?

Maybye try testing your ammonia and telling us the results, could be a possible ammonia spike wich could be fatal for your fish.

My parameters Ph-7 Nitrate-15ppm Ammonia-0.25ppm Temp-27-28 degrees celcius. In the tank I have 7 neon tetras and 7 sterbai coryDoras, the tank has lots of live plants and heaps of driftwood.
