It is a cantilever balcony

It will be above ground on a shaded balcony. The kh of my tap water is 50 mgl and my gh is 57 mgl. The ph is around 6 - 6.5. I am not sure on what pond I am getting yet, but i want to get a shallow pond so the fish have more space to swim.

What fish recommendations do you have for a 20 gallon pond. I live in Nsw Australia so the pond might get a little hot in the summer.

The first thing you should do is add more corydoras. In order for corydoras to be happy they must be in shoals of 5 or 6. Some fish recommendations are: A school of any tetra (neons are my fav) and honey gouramis (make sure you get at least 2). These are some of my favorites!

Nice tank, I do not think the reason for high nitrite is the almond leaves. The reason could be that maybye your fish did not eat all of there food, so the food broke down. You could try a 50% water change which should half the nitrites.

I promise I will get some floating plants in a few days when i am back at school so i can grab some after school

Yes i did test my paramaters, all seemed fine expect my nitrate was a bit high, i will do all of that next time something dodgy happens. Heres a pic: (the honey gouramis hides whenever i walk up to the tank) Also most of the corydoras are behind the driftwood.
