Fry are still growing well. On the largest ones I can see tiny ventral fins and the largest are starting to darken up slightly. Still eating like pigs.

Garden

This one has the background left unstitched and uses the colour of the aida to fill in for sky. I've got some more cross stitches to get on with now this one is done.

I've still got the back stitch to do on it but the cross stitch part is now finished and once lock down is over I'll get it framed for her.

Alien Bettas are hybrids of the B. Splendens and a few other types of Betta like smaragdina. There is little I can find on temperament so I would assume them to be like their relatives and potentially be aggressive. I know a LFS that sells them near me keeps the males separated.

Alien Bettas are hybrids so their care requirements are still that of other Bettas. If you're still thinking about Bettas for the 40 gallon then there are bigger Bettas like Betta Bellica which can grown up to 10 cm.

The fry are a month old now and continuing to grow. Their eyes are now much more like an adult's but without the blue to them yet. 3 of them are similar in size and 1 is quite a bit smaller.
