My newly set up tank, 30L Superfish Cubiq, for the betta I have reserved It has two Anubias plants, one Cryptocoryne, a bridge ornament, a little tree ornament and floating Salvinia Auriculata. I use Argos play sand as the substrate.

I use Argos play sand, £5 for 15kg which goes a long way! Just give it a swish about in water and drain thoroughly a few times

Okay, I’d recommend the API master kit. You need to test for far more than PH. How long has he been in the tank?

Also, do you have a heater in there?

What are your water parameters, ammonia, nitrate and nitrites? Also do you have another tank beside it? I ask because I can see a fin on the first picture.

Surviving isn’t thriving though, and I can’t imagine this is easy for you to hear but if several people have suggested euthanasia, keeping him alive is torment for him :( He doesn’t look great and you’ve tried everything.

Hello I’ve noticed one of my guppies swims at the top by itself like it’s scared when the aquarium light is on. When the light is off, it merrily swims around with it’s friend guppies no problems. No other notable characteristics, eats well, plays and swims well, loves swimming into the air...
