I have ramshorn snails (working on getting rid of them) and cherry shrimp in there right now

They seem completely non agressive in my tank. I have longfin leopard danio, betta, mystery snails, and cherry shrimp in my tank. They will eat shrimplets, but leave the adults alone. They do eat ramshorn and trumpet snails, though.

You might see if your lfs has any, if there are not any members near you. Early in my fishkeeping days I had a cycle crash and they gave me a couple handfuls of gravel out of a tank. I dropped that into my filter and it helped restart my cycle.

The shrimplets will eat the same stuff as the adults. Just be warned that the berried female will likely drop the eggs prematurely out of stress, or at least most berried females will do so when placed in the home aquarium. It is likely from the change in water parameters.

Did you add ammonia or a source of it while cycling the tank? I would do at the minimum a 50% daily change, if you cannot be sure of your ammonia levels.
