    Green Phantom Breeding Project

Here are the new 4. I have one already, so 5 in the 90 gallon tank. I don't have any expectations for at least 6 months, as that are all about an inch shorter than my full grown guy.

    Green Phantom Breeding Project

Well, I picked up a group of them today. They are going into a preprepared tank that has been running over 6 months. I am moving the previous inhabitants out right now. I will post pics soon.

    Rainbow Cichlid w/ Rhombo Barbs

The Denison are going for almost $20 each around here. I want to get my green phantom breeding group set up before I run out of money, lol. They are absolutely wonderful to watch, though.

    Rainbow Cichlid w/ Rhombo Barbs

I was hoping so. The rainbows aren't aggressive and the barbs don't seem to be too nippy from what I have read about them.

    Rainbow Cichlid w/ Rhombo Barbs

Also sometimes called snakeskin barbs. They are 80% of the time listed as Rhombo Barbs around where I live. https://www.seriouslyfish.com/species/desmopuntius-rhomboocellatus/

    Rainbow Cichlid w/ Rhombo Barbs

Are these two species compatible? I saw the Rhombos at my LFS, and really like the look of them. I now have 2 Rainbow Cichlids in my 90 gallon, and would like a medium sized shoaling fish with them. I had to get rid of my orange chromides in the tank as the chromides were picking on the...

Salt required for a brackish Tank.

The salt would not be good for the rest of the fish in the tank, as they are not suited for brackish conditions.

Best place to buy pest free plants

I would look for plants listed as tissue cultures. They are a LOT more likely to be pest free. I like BucePlants a lot.

Lowering Ammonia levels in tank with ADFs and cory catfish...

You need to be performing large daily water changes, and change a large percentage of water whenever ANY ammonia is recorded on a test. Ammonia kills fish. Adding bottles bacteria can help the cycle move along faster. Using your old filter and filter media helps the most.

Fluval Flex 9 gallon Stocking ideas

As Byron said, I would go with 9-13. Mine all stay pretty tight together, and they tend to move as a group.

Fluval Flex 9 gallon Stocking ideas

I really like ember tetras for this size tank. A lot of people might consider them a bit boring or beginnerish but they look very nice once they color up.

Hello fellow fish folks - I'm starting at zero again after a long stretch.

Welcome to the forum, and welcome back to fishkeeping! And yeah, the "setup" packages are almost never well done, my first tank was one of those and the filter gave out before it was even cycled and the heater was way underpowered for the tank size. My 55 gallon tank is my favorite, even over...

    Sump? Canister? Sponge Filter?

So, the hoses are coming out the back of the tank (looks like they were chopped off) look like maybe an inch diameter. I will have to take pics when I get home. I wouldn't mind a HOB, or I can make a tub or spare 10 gallon into a sump, but the only place to put a HOB would be to hang it on the...

Please help - new tank and fish kissing the surface

You may have problems with any dwarf frogs getting enough food. From what I have seen with mine, they have poor eyesight and seem to hunt for food by smell. Voracious eaters like Molly and guppy fish may out compete the frogs for food.

    Sump? Canister? Sponge Filter?

So, I recently purchased a 90bgallon acrylic tank, that was originally used as a saltwater tank. It did not come with a sump/filter, but has the fitting for it(I believe). What do I need to get this tank going (freshwater) other than a good cleaning.

How did you get into the hobby?

A complete impulse buy on my part for the tank. My great grandma had a tank (probably a 55) when I was a kid, and I remember my brothers fair goldfish, and other odds and ends fish, living in it for about 10 years before she had to move. So I saw a 15 column tank on sale at Petco ($150...

What Fruits and Veggies Can Go in the Tank?

Mine loved the little florets on top of the broccoli (they we're gone in less than an hour), but only are the stems after the water softened it. They are the stems amore readily after blanching, at least as far as my BN Plecos went.
