I have one... we don't call it a bunker, we call it a safe room, it's fire proof, so, we can go there for tornados, or if the house caught fire, & we couldn't get out... it's not bomb proof though, & while it has a ventilation system, it's also not radiation proof... it's 2 rooms, the back room...

I’ve always loved Arrowanas, I grew one to about 24 inches, when I had them before… but now that I’m back into aquariums, I have too many expensive interests to spend anywhere near that much for fish today…

The more I’m digging, it looks like there are 2 different species, sold as “Mascara barbs”… the ones I ordered, are supposed to be Assimilis… which have all the wild colors… but the other variety, apsara, often called “super red”

Part of my problem there, is the stones are on the side I feed from, and the water flow pushes down there, so I end up with food getting in the rocks… it’s challenging to reach over far enough, but if I feed at the center of the tank, very little gets to between the rocks… it’s a fairly thin...

I’ve found sand, to make it’s self flat faster than other substrates, but over time, all seem to end up flat… so even if you put something solid ( a wedge of plastic ) for example… the sand will continually move down the hill, piling up deeper at the bottom, and exposing the wedge at the top… if...

I don’t think the weight will be a concern… I don’t personally like sand more than an inch to inch and a half deep… but that just may be me…

I had talked to 10 tanks about submerged, but never did it myself... I always did them, plants above the tanks, and bare roots in hang on pots in the aquariums, or in the box section of a hang on back filter, in place of the bio media ( I still use the foam, but be aware the roots of the plants...

These are active and visible, even as tiny as they are… I can often see one or two, of the 4, when I sit by the tank… BTW… did another earlier Baxter AE dose last night, for the new fish, but everyone loves that stuff…
