I’m having problems with my pet store angel “Mutt”…. He’s been growing like crazy, body as big as a softball, without the fins, pectoral fins are 6 inches long… normally he’s a perfect angel… and doesn’t bother anyone… but, at feeding time he chases everyone into the corners and tries to hoard...

which brings me to another question... if you look at the Acaras in the top picture, the fins are the same color as the bodies... I don't think there are scales on the membrane of the dorsal fins... so there must actually be that color there, rather than just the scales reflecting that color???

I have the space easily for another tank, in this set up, as it is... stair stepping them up, for gravity flow, limits how many I have space for here, in this set up, right now... if I slid all 3 tanks, one space to the east, I could do 5 tanks in this group... adding the tanks together flowing...

I’m not really understanding these fish… not typical Cichlid behavior, and I have some electric blue Rams in another tank, the their “electric brightness” is dependent on the main overhead lights… but these electric blue Acaras, are just as bright at 1st light, with only the background lighting...

This sure looks like a baby feeder guppy… this is in my Hillstream tank… I do have a couple 10 gallons in a stack under this tank, with some feeder grade guppies in the bottom one, well beyond jumping distance, and I have a fleet of nets, that I try to dedicate to each tank, and I’m the only one...

I don't think they are nerites... it looks like what they call Mystery snails, that do breed in freshwater, often laying their eggs just above the surface

Welcome... my tanks were built in, & were parked for more than 20 years... all have held water that I began restarting almost 2 years ago...
