With the duckweed, yes just add it and watch it spread,you'l only need an egg cup full. Java fern and Anubias are easy as pie, just remember not to 'plant' them into the substrate they need tying or supergluing onto wood or rocks. Moss is just the same, I glued mine on as my water is too hard...

I don't trust the ticky ones either but all my tanks are second hand and already had them. I have the traditional type thermometer that's inside the tank too and surprise, surprise they both read diferent temperatures. I go with the internal reading!

What an absolute nightmare! The delay with the fish would have been enough on it's own but the qt tank must have been the last straw. I'd have been rocking slowly backwards and forwards and licking the windows if it had been me!

It does look egg shaped, but I reckon it's a stone too. Dwarf frogs eggs float at the surface so it can't be that. I'd fish it out and take a look personally I'm to curious!

That must have been worrying! I've never kept them myself so can offer no better explanation than yours but it seems an odd way to argue; were they doing it telepathically do you think?! ;)

I use Reptomin for my ADF and they love it. Even the new ones I got today have been eating it. Just a tip though, soak it first then squeeze the air out of it to make it sink! Enjoy your froggies!

You will find that the fish will eat all the frog's food and keeping them in a community tank can be hard work as you end up having to hand feed them. I inherited one and after a while of trying to keep him well fed with my community I have now got him his own tank. Just food for thought...
