Well, I've managed a couple of shots of the young Julies as the older ones are still in hiding. Any thoughts as to whether they are transcriptus or not? I love them anyway, I'm surprised they have the blue fins already!

Yeah, I'm still wanting to change the 240l. It's been a question of finances of late and was also toying temporarily with mbuna but have switched back to Tangs again! I've just got to bite the bullet and sell the fish... I've got a 60l which can house them temporarily if needs be.

I'd put them in with the fry. If they're holding they won't eat the existing fry and if they're being hassled they won't spit in the main tank (from what I've read). I don't keep cichlids (yet, though I'm planning on it soon) so you may want to also ask this in the African cichlid section.

I've only just got my first Betta but one of the things I was aware of is that plastic plants are notorious for ripping their fins. If I were you I'd remove the plastic plants and replace them with either silk or real plants.

I ended up treating with Sterazin after emoving as many shrimp as I could. However, as you say, the few I couldn't get weren't affected by the treatment even though it says not to use it when crustaceans (among other things) are present.

I can heartily recommend ZM foods (they do fry and adult foods). I use the infusoria grade for my Celebes when they are tiny and work up to the larger sizes plus new hatched brine shrimp. I believe they ship international if you aren't in the UK.
