I really like your aquarium it looks really nice. When changing or adding something new to an established aquarium can cause your fish to react in different ways, but I wouldn't worry about it. Just give them breaks from the light at night time when they need to rest.

I have had a wavemaker in my 55 gallon running continuously for a few weeks now. I don't have any fish in this tank small enough to worry about. I have the wavemaker attached down low in the middle pointing towards the substrate. But this one was the slowest and cheapest I could find.

If you really what to go cheap for an aquarium stand get a few cinder blocks, the kind with the two big holes, and some boards. Many people have done this without issues. Be sure the boards are at least 2x4's and not thin boards like bed slats.
