Think I'm doing everything right - but 4 fish died in 2 weeks :( HELP please

Ah ok. Well I'd say don't use conditioner that removes ammonia unless needed, b/c it is a bit more expensive.

My first saltwater tank - Aqueon Frameless Cube Aquarium, 3 Gallon

Just found this video on setting lighting. Nice info. I saw yesterday that my corals were closing up in the afternoon, while I still had the full spectrum on. I've adjusted a bit so there is less time of full spectrum.

Think I'm doing everything right - but 4 fish died in 2 weeks :( HELP please

Well, it is a nice looking rimless tank. Just wow on that price tag though. I assume the lights came with it, if so that make more sense. I love your rescape, much better put together then previous. Glad to see the anubias out of the substrate!

Think I'm doing everything right - but 4 fish died in 2 weeks :( HELP please

Wow, how many gallons is that, like 60 or so? That is expensive. I got my 55 gallon at Petco for super cheap, I think under $200.

Think I'm doing everything right - but 4 fish died in 2 weeks :( HELP please

I thought the OP said there was around 20ppm of ammonia in the tap water. If so, I would suggest to keep using the conditioner that removes ammonia. I have some in my tap water and use API Ammo Lock for my water conditioner on all water changes.

No, it's not cloudy. And it does look more blue in the picture then it does when looking at it with your eyes.

Here's pics with lights all the way up today. I also just fed them about an hour ago. The toadstool always retracts and sheds after feeding.

Thanks Colin, I'll give it a try. Based on the 2nd option you provided I came up with this. I do have multiple windows that let sun in but it's indirect. The app for the light does have a Pro setting that allow configuring specific colors during specific times of the day but I've found it to...

So does this look better? I've never totally understood how to set the lights correctly. Is the amount good? I read recently that zoas size are determined by the light being less intense. Or perhaps this is better (higher % of light)?

I've reduced the light by a bit over the course of a week. This has more blue and less white/cyan/purple.

Trying a “no cycle” start up on this next tank…

If the products being sold don't do anything special I would think there would be precidence for a lawsuit and eventual shut down of production of those products. Has no one here ever tested cycling with and without to see if there is a difference? If not, I'd say you are probably correct that...

My first saltwater tank - Aqueon Frameless Cube Aquarium, 3 Gallon

It's super small so hard to get a good focus in the pic. Here's a few more, which are prob of no help since the light is too blue atm compared to the previous since there was no light turned on at that time. I've also reduced the light I'm using over the past couple of days. Just recieved 2...
