    Feeding advice

Hello and welcome to the forum :fish: :hi: :fish:Could you post a picture of your tank:snap:As far as the neon tetras you should also have 6. Your tank is small too small for you to increase the number of fish. With my tetras I take a small amount of fish food in a small cup and add some tank...

    Introduction

Hello and welcome to the forum :fish: :hi: :fish:thank you for posting the pictures. The one thing I would suggest is having some live plants. I had all plastic plants for year but switched to live plants and I am happy I did. Live plants help improve the quality of the water. Anubias and Java...

    New to Aquarium

Hello and welcome to the forum, :fish: :hi: :fish: I started out with just a few guppies and now have a 30 gallon guppy tank with plenty of guppies. It really does not take long for them to populate your tank. Starting out with easy plants and fish is the best way to go. Good luck:good:

    Water Hardness

I keep tetras in my 55 gallon tank and have hard water. I use RO to soften my water. I use a hardness test pen to test the water so I get the right hardness. The test pens are around 10 USD. I currently buy my water from a local water dealer who has a RO water filling machine. I bought 4-5...

New Set up 200L Planted Aquarium!

I agree with @Essjay I do the silent cycle on all of my tanks and it works great just make sure you have some fast growing floating plants like hornwort, moneywort, pennywort, salvinia, frog bite and water sprite. These plants absorb ammonia at a higher rate and improve the quality of the water...

    Hi

Hello and welcome to the forum, :fish: :hi: :fish: last group of platy fry my fish had was 13. 11 made it to adulthood. If there is plenty of places for them to hide and your other fish are well feed I would allow the mother to have them in the tank. I agree with @Sgooosh being in the "box" can...

Does anyone have experience with budgies?

I loved my budgies, they would sit on my shoulders while we watched TV. I have not had any in many years.

You could also add a snail or two but it is a very small tank. I have a guppy tank but it is a 30 gallon tank. Sorry about your other guppies.

    150 gallon shapping up nicely.

Sorry about your fish and plants, sounds like a real disaster:( Your tank was looking nice, hope you will be able to get it back to the way it was without too much trouble. I don't blame you for wanting to get away for awhile, it has been a little crazy:shout:

    Baby Harlequin Rasboras??

I did not see my tetra fry until they were young juveniles, I still put then in a breeder box or they hid in hornwort I had floating in the tank. If you look at the picture you can see two waiting for me to feed them in the upper left corner. Over several months I would see one or two show up...

    10 Gallon(Kids room)

I have 13 glow light teras, had 14 but just lost one, they are all well over 1 year old. The one I just lost may have been injured during feeding time. They seem much hardier than neon tetra. They look nice and get along with my other tetras just fine.

    A tale of 4 tanks

I do not hate you, I am just jealous of you and your luck with frog bite.;) The small amount I was sent started off good but then quickly disappeared. The snails or the fish feasted on it. I may try again and put it in it's own tank until it is large enough to survive.

    Any model painters here?

I have a Penn Plax castle in my 30 gallon guppy tank. I am a fan of the hobbit and LOTR so I call it my LOTR Castle. It comes in two pieces and have good detail. My son-in-law is into warhammer games.

    Any model painters here?

I have been building models since I was a kid but have not tried painting anything to go into my tanks. I usually used enamel paints as a base coat and then acrylic paint to high light or as a 2nd coat since they tend to stick better to a enamel base coat than to just painting directly onto the...

    10 Gallon(Kids room)

I had mostly java and crested ferns but switched over to mostly anubias in my tetra tank. It seems to last longer and with it being a soft water tank it does seem to do better than the ferns. I also had to switch floating plants to salvinia. Tetras are soft water fish but guppies are hard water...
